The session

Home. School. Grandma's house. The shop on the corner. A place you always wanted to visit and never did. Everyone drew their childhood as a map, with themselves at the centre, aged about seven.

It was the most international session the Circle has run: fourteen people, several continents, and the same handful of places turning up again and again in completely different countries. The instruction was simply to bring your memories, your colours and your stories.

Not made of roads, but of memories.

What it was made of

  1. 01

    Draw

Your memory map — the places, not the streets.

  2. 02

    Share

One meaningful place, and why it stayed with you.

  3. 03

    Listen

    Stories from around the world.

  4. 04

    Reflect

On how our childhood shapes who we are.
